Problems with dental crown….?
In May I got stomatits which resulted in little white spots all over my mouth, swollen gums, and a fever for a week. Since then I occasionally get swollen gums and a spot or two ever now and again. Since stomatitis is herpetic, I am assuming this is normal? 5 days ago I had a [...]

Dental – Discolored Molars in Kids?
We just came back from the dentist and my 7 year old has sprouted a molar. The problem is that it is discolored. When the dentist came in to talk with us, she gave this a name (or course I can’t remember what it was). She explained that it is not uncommon, but was probably [...]

Dental Question?
I’m on medicaid, and I have a condition called soft teeth where it just crumbles into pieces and there’s nothing you can do. Brushing aggravates the condition. I’ll need to have them all pulled out and have false teeth… problem is… I have an extremely high sensitivity to pain, especially in the mouth. The standard [...]
Dental Problems?
Hi my teeth are not in good condition but I cannot afford to pay out loads to have them done. Any advice?
My boyfriend says my breath smells really sickly sweet…?
There is no history of diabetes or anything, and I have none of the other symptoms. It just seems to come and go, even when I haven’t eaten anything sweet. I don’t drink either. There seem to be a lot of serious conditions with the ‘sickly sweet breath’ tag on them, but I want to [...]

Are you an adult over 35 years of age with METAL braces, NOT invisible braces or veneers?
I’m in the process of improving my entire life. I can’t afford veneers, and other expensive dental work, and I don’t qualify for invisible braces, so I plan to pay monthly on metal braces in the future when I’m in a better position financially. I know there are adults who wear braces, but I personally [...]
Is a chipped tooth a pre-existing condition?
My husband chipped his tooth and came to find that the dental portion of his insurance would not cover it…I have Aflac dental ins and I’m pretty sure that they would cover it. I wanted to switch him to my policy…however, is the tooth considered a “pre-existing” condition whereas they would not cover it?
Dental Implant, questions, concerns?
I realize alot of this needs to be gone over with the surgeon performing the implant, if I decide to go this route. Back history. Broke one front tooth, fractured the other when I was 11. Had crowns put in. Fast forward 10 years, the tooth that had broken initially re-broke underneath the crown, my [...]
Can I take a course of Phenoxymethylpenicillin after taking a course of Amoxicillin that didn’t work?
I have an infection under a filling, or so the Dentist says. I had two replacement fillings and an extraction and I’ve had trouble with my teeth ever since. I had the dental treatment in March. I’ve had two courses of Amoxicillin with about a 5 weeks in between them. I’ve just finished the second [...]
one of my garden gnomes has chipped his front tooth. I don’t have dental insurance on him, can I still get it?
If I do, will it be covered or will this be considered a preexisting condition? How carefully do I need to screen the dentist? I heard of some situations where the dentist gives laughing gas and then takes the clothes off the patient when he/she is unconcious…O my…WHATEVER shall I do???
My dad has dental problems?
My did is 48 years of age and he has cavity’s that are terrible and nerves that are exposed and he sometimes is in terrible pain and I do not know what to do. We have financial issues and you know that dentists wont fix anything unless you pay them a hefty fine, I’m really [...]
