Just got rubber spacers from orthodontics but I also got some metal onces since the other ones would not fit..

two of the metal spacers are touching my gums and they move, everytime they do, it hurts, are they well placed? and….do they really create space between my teeth? they are just wires and they dont look like they can create space like the blue rubber ones do. Thank you.
